As I sit bundled underneath my blankets, I'm still shocked by how cold Kentucky's winters can be. Brutal isn't even the proper word to describe how cold it is here. On days like this, I like to cuddle up and read a book while trying to get some lessons planned. This week I'm reading a book called "Rule" that's published by the DK company. The book is all about how every single country in the world is ruled or governed. I'm learning more from this than I ever learned in school. Not a surprise I guess.
I'm studying this one so that I can prepare a unit for our upcoming study of Africa. This one is a great read and definitely requires some note taking on my end. But hey, a teacher never stops learning right? We are forever students in the sight of our children. Leading by example is never a bad thing.
